The Last Stop

Somewhere along the coast, plans changed.

Martini with olives and a lemon twist beside sardines, bread, and a lantern at a rustic seaside café overlooking the coast at dusk.

STAY FOR ANOTHER

2½ oz London dry gin
½ oz dry vermouth
¼ oz olive brine
½ tsp caper brine

TO FINISH

Two green olives
Lemon twist

MAKE IT

Fill a mixing glass generously with ice.

Add the gin, dry vermouth, olive brine and caper brine. Stir until extra chilled.

Strain into a chilled martini glass.

Express the lemon peel over the surface, then garnish with the lemon twist and two olives.

Plans can wait.

Couple enjoying martinis at a rustic seaside café at night, with one person wearing an LL Social Co. Coastal Cocktails graphic T-shirt, lanterns, and harbor lights in the background.

THE BLUE CAFE WAY

Cold enough to slow things down.

The caper brine is the little surprise.

Just enough to bring in that coastal salinity without turning the drink overtly savory. Keep everything cold, keep the olives good, and don't rush the stir.

Olives on the side. Sardines if you're staying.
