Some afternoons are worth stretching into evening.
Wine country has a way of slowing you down. A winding road becomes a vineyard, a tasting turns into an afternoon, and suddenly there is nowhere else you need to be.
A bottle of wine, a loaf of bread, something good tucked into a basket and someone you love walking beside you. The best plans are often the simplest ones.
Find a quiet spot between the vines, pour a glass and stay long enough to watch the light change.

Waiting for the Next Set
Some places teach you there is no reason to rush.
Out here, the day moves a little differently. You watch the tide, wait for the next set and let the afternoon unfold without much of a plan.
There is always someone still in the water, a dog happy to stay a little longer and that last stretch of sunlight that makes leaving feel unnecessary.
Maybe that is what keeps pulling us back to the coast. It reminds us that some of the best moments happen when there is nowhere else you need to be.
